Manual Handling Training and Posture Awareness
for Early Years Educators E-Learning Course

At Jolly Back we’re passionate about reducing discomfort, improving health and extending rewarding careers for early years educators. We offer specialised training tailored for the education sector – designed and delivered by an expert physiotherapist.

RESEARCH

Research published in Safety Science shows 98% of UK early childhood educators experience work-related musculoskeletal pain, particularly in the lower back (89%). Some work in constant pain.

Physical demands of the role, including low working environments and manual handling, place early years workers at significant risk of injury and longer-term musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs).

AIMS

This unique e-learning course aims to reduce and prevent musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) in the childcare and primary education workforce. It offers manual handling training for mandatory compliance for employers and employees and dives deeper into musculoskeletal health for longer term care for carers, teachers, students and volunteers working with young children.

Practical strategies and signposting can be used immediately for healthier and safer working.

Successful learners will be able to identify essential workplace requirements and considerations to achieve safe manual handling, effective risk assessment, low height working awareness and improved musculoskeletal health – benefiting individual educators, colleagues, children and organisations.
