About Jolly Back
Vision
Jolly Back aspires to improve the working life, health and comfort of early years and primary educators, paediatric therapists and those caring for children through providing practical and ergonomic seating and furniture solutions, backed up with trusted advice and exceptional customer service.
We are committed to preventing and reducing injury, promoting health and passionately care about the wellbeing of individuals and organisations working with and for the children we all serve.
OUR STORY
Whilst delivering back care education to schools, paediatric physiotherapist and founder of Jolly Back, Lorna Taylor, made two important observations. Firstly, the inspiring dedication of teaching and support staff, and secondly, the challenges and discomfort experienced by staff working at low heights with young children – sitting on children’s chairs, bending over low tables, kneeling on the floor, moving awkward play equipment, shifting heavy paperwork and books, limited space… the list could go on!
Through an understanding of human anatomy and movement and a genuine belief in the benefits of health education and injury prevention, Lorna created Jolly Back in 2009 to provide practical and ergonomic solutions, backed up by trusted advice, for employers and employees working with young children.
Lorna set about creating her first product, the unique and revolutionary Jolly Back Chair after being unable to find a low, mobile chair which would adequately support staff. Since then, Jolly Back has won several education, design and customer service awards; developed new products and solutions and assessed others to support employees, employers and children with their back care and health needs.
As we continue to grow from Derbyshire, UK, Jolly Back chairs are now spread far and wide from Canada and UAE to Latvia and Spain…we’re incredibly grateful for all the support we’ve kindly received. The story continues…

We promise everything we design, create and deliver is based on our vision to provide the best quality, trusted, valued and practical products and advice so you confidently know you are getting the right products, at the best prices and they will last to serve you well.
Environmental sustainability is also important to us and is factored into our sourcing of materials, packaging and delivery.
But we don’t stop there…we pride ourselves on our caring customer support. As a Jolly Back customer and supporter, we value you and the tremendous work you are doing. Friendly, expert back care and seating advice to help with any purchasing decisions or queries you and your staff members have is only ever a phone call away.
